Top 100 Rails Sites

 

There are many ways to guess traffic rank from the web. One is Alexa, another is Compete. Luckily both have APIs.

Quantcast Rankings (USA only)

 

Sites that might qualify, but unfortunately can't be tracked:

  • Facebook Apps
  • Rails-powered subdomains

 

Feel free to add your site to the lists in order. Make sure the formatting matches the other entries so it will stay up to date next time someone runs the script.

I added frozen-layer.com to the list. It has a rank of 5900 and all is coded in RoR except the forums.

Added lessaccounting.com - RoR app for accounting software. Have a few more, but they aren't as close to top 100, so I'll hold off a bit.

www.presdo.com will jump into the top 100 when Alexa refreshes. They launched on TechCrunch last Friday and have had a huge jump in traffic. Plus, the app is viral by nature, so watch it grow.

Just ran the script and updated the whole list.

Removed fans.nhl.com and a nascar.com subdomain, since Alexa only ranks full domains... added note to the top.

Added Tupalo.com, removed sizeasy.com (101) and smartflix.com (102), who had both slipped down below 100

I changed the text at top to "3-month averages", because the ranks generated by the script are not literally "daily ranks".

Split the Alexa an Compete rankings into separate pages since having them on the same page confuses the current script...
